THE YOUNG WATCHERS Parent Consent Policy

The Young Watchers is the youth division of The Last Watch 5786 Ministry and is committed to providing a safe, respectful, educational, and spiritually supportive environment for children and teenagers.
 

Participation in The Young Watchers programs, activities, online communities, events, courses, and digital platforms requires parent or legal guardian consent for participants under the age of 18.
 

1. Parent/Guardian Authorization
 

By registering a minor for participation in The Young Watchers, the parent or legal guardian acknowledges and agrees that:

• The child has permission to participate in ministry-related youth activities.

• The parent/guardian understands the nature of the program and online participation features.

• The parent/guardian accepts responsibility for monitoring the child’s participation and online activity. 
   

  2. Information Collected

• The Young Watchers may collect limited information necessary for participation, including:

• Participant first and last name

• Age group

• Parent/guardian contact information

• Program participation records

• Course completion information

• We do not knowingly collect unnecessary personal information from minors.
   

 3. Online Participation

• Parents/guardians understand that participation may include:

• Educational videos

• Interactive activities

• Moderated group discussions

• Virtual meetings or live sessions

• Challenges and assignments

• All youth interactions are intended to occur in monitored and moderated environments.
   

  4. Media & Content Release (Optional Section)

• The parent/guardian may choose whether the participant may appear in:

• Group photos

• Recorded sessions

• Creative showcases

• Ministry promotional materials

• Media Permission Options:

• ☐ YES – I authorize limited use of my child’s image or submitted work
  ☐ NO – I do not authorize media use

• No identifying personal information will be publicly disclosed without additional consent.
   

  5. Behavioral Expectations

• Parents/guardians acknowledge that participants are expected to:

• Treat others respectfully

• Avoid bullying, harassment, or inappropriate conduct

• Follow moderator and leadership instructions

• Use appropriate language and communication

• Failure to comply may result in restricted access or removal from participation areas.
   

 6. Parent Communication

• Parents/guardians may contact ministry leadership regarding:

• Safety concerns

• Participation questions

• Requests to review or remove participant information
   

 7. Limitation of Responsibility

• While The Young Watchers strives to provide a safe and positive environment, parents/guardians understand that:

• Online environments carry inherent risks

• No digital platform can guarantee complete security

• Parents remain responsible for supervising minors’ internet usage and device access
   

 8. Consent Acknowledgment

• By registering a participant, the parent/guardian confirms that:

• They are the legal parent or guardian

• They have read and understood this policy

• They consent to the participant’s involvement in The Young Watchers programs and activities
